Both the peppered lawyer and Dick did not have their wives with them--their hostess, a wealthy Pioneer who owned the ranch, and a former ambassadress were their hunting partners....and about the only excuse for shooting a hunting companion would be drunkeness...unless we want to float the "stupid and irresponsible" excuse.

Bet Lynn goes on his hunting trips too from now on. It seemed like the only time she was not along was when he was doing blasting or casting. Bet he's grounded now.
