I pledge allegiance to the flag of the Divided States of America
I pledge allegiance to the flag
of the Divided States of America,
And to the republic for which it stands:
One Nation under God,
or possibly not,
divisible by all the factions whose axes are relentlessly ground,
and whose oxen remain un-gored,
Just as long as they keep the cash flowing,
With Liberty and Justice for all who are able to afford it.
:-(

1. k & r
may have to divide -- if we're to get along.

no propers were sent out to corporatists in the above statement -- so none should be taken.

2. I pledge allegiance to the flag of the deluded state of America
And to the consumerism on which the economy stands,
One nation sold on appearances,
divided from the natural laws,
crying that life is not like on TV,
about to find out how the Third World lives
with pensions and living wages for none.

6. I don't think I inspired anyone before.
Maybe you're easily inspired?
;-)
OK, now that I try it out, I LIKE being an inspiration.
You are very kind.

8. LOL Oh, you inspire more than you know
And at my age, I am not even easily amused let alone easily inspired. The more I see of mankind, the more I love my naps.

4. Here's another version I found on the net:
THE G.O.P. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE
I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America
And to the Republi-CONS for which it stands (!)
Right-wingers under God,
Uncompassionate, With poverty and injustice for the rest

9. Do you think it is more divided than say
1850 or 1866-1875 or 1779?
