Damnit, I hate FauxNews!
The "Wellstone-ing" of Mrs. King's funeral is at full throttle. Three of the six columnists on the FNC home page deal with the King funeral, with O'Reilly, Gibson, and Cavuto chiming in. Since Cavuto has responded to me before when I took issue with him, I sent him the following:

Dear Mr. Cavuto,
Thank you so much for your incisive article dealing with appropriate funeral demeanor. Believe me, there is nothing African-American Baptists appreciate more than being told by a rich, white guy in a gray suit how to mourn the passing of one of their own. I would also like to congratulate you on the remarkable restraint you displayed by refraining from calling the Rev. Joseph Lowery an "uppity coon". I know that must have been difficult for you.
Sincerely,

3. Why do you watch it?
Why not watch for instance www.democracynow.org instead, and get informed instead of outraged.

9. My wife wonders the same thing.
I just like to keep abreast of the day's RW talking points so I am more ready and able to refute them.

4. Someone brought up a good point yesterday on another thread
The only people worrying about this, making a big stink, and the only ones that will even care about it after the weekend is over are the people that only and always vote republican.
To me it seems the republicans are more in damage control mode versus attack and distort mode. Hard facts and hard truths got thrown right in their face. They're the ones in a panic right now, not our side.

5. Is *that* what you got out of their collective take on it?
Really? Was it any accident?

VEry good letter. Something tells me it won't be read on the air but a good letter anyway.

6. Wall? Meet head. Head? meet wall. Begin repeated impacts. Who wins?
Let's just say that the wall will still be standing.
Faux gnus is not a news organization. They are the paid political supporters of Herr Bush and his funny little fascists. Watching them only goads them on.

the standing ovations. Blacks don't matter to them.

14. They even have little pre-screened audiences ...
There's a sea of white faces and one token black who dis'es Reverend Lowery. To make the other point, they have "Uncle Tom" Juan Williams to complement the roasting. Williams defends Rev. Lowery because of his Civil Rights role BUT condemns President Jimmy Carter.

I guess devoutly religious former Presidents who gave the deceased the Medal of Freedom are NOT allowed comment on Civil Rights? Absurd.

FOX is transparent and only plays to the koolaid drinking fundy RW nutcases.
