So far this is where it stands:

5. This ploy will NOT work in November ...
People of color already aren't buying into it. Further, the senior citizens and working class republicans are feeling the pinch in their pocket books. Soon they will not have the time to digest FAUX news due to holding down 2+ jobs in an attempt to make ends meet.

When the American people suffer FINANCIALLY in the here and now, Corporate News will only be appealing to the koolaid drinkers (neo-cons), working class racists and the selfish investor class crones.

I want to hear Condi Rice exclaim, "We never thought the American people would choose to VOTE DEMOCRAT." We will vote Democrat come November, en masse to purge these RW whores. :patriotic:

21. On that note
maybe we should give up.

Resistance is futile. We will be assimilated.

<sigh>

2. The AOL message boards are full of freaks and freepers...
I checked in to see what people had to say, specifically, and would like to say I'm surprised by how screwed up some of these people are, but I had AOL for years. I know how twisted up a lot of AOLers are. AOL plays to the least common denominator. Always has.

10. May I ask what service you changed to?

I've wanted out of AOL for a while, but am not sure who to go with...

I'm tired of seeing their freep polls and negative headlines whenever I sign on. Depressing and disgusting.

edited to correct typo.

19. If I could get Comcast for free I would switch too. I would just pay
for a separate news (usenet) service.

18. I have had them for four years. When they do have problems they
usually have them fixed in less then four hours. I keep on getting calls from Comcast to get their online service. I tell them I have Verizon and they say that they are faster. I say maybe so but you have dial up net (usenet) service. The bimbo on the other end says there is only one net, the internet. I said WRONG, there is the usenet newsgroups which I use more then the internet. She said there is no such thing. At that point I hung up. I knew someone with Comcast and they had to use dial-up to access their newsgroups or pay extra for a separate service like Supernews etc... Verizon has over 30,000 newsgroups including binaries at dsl speed. Verizon also has their own usenet groups where you can ask for help or request a particular group to be added to their news servers. They used to have real time chat with a tech but they dropped it because it was easier to just call them up toll free. I don't know if Comcast will get or now have cable speed usenet service. I know AOL usenet groups are very limited.

16. Verizon FiOS may be in your area.
It is faster and always on like DSL and is only about $10 more than AOL dial up. It is new and not available in all areas. We were the lucky ones to move to where it was being set up. We will go with their FiOS TV when they get some of the stations my spouse wants.

7. WTF does this mean?
"NOTE: Poll results are not scientific and reflect the opinions of only those users who chose to participate. Poll results are not reflected in real time." Not reflected in real time? Does that mean they have the time to change the votes? Good ol corporate AO Hell.
