I wrote this book,
I am going to get a few good reviews, any way. The following is about to get sent over the intenet by publisher - not sure who wrote it.

On A Wing and A Prayer
by FMJ Pacheco
Step into the landscape of war in the sober yet witty memoirs of a fighter pilot and a nurse in the last months of World War II in On A Wing and A Prayer. These war stories recount the inhumanity of war and the crisis of conscience that occurs when duty to country conflict with morality even in the best of causes. It also shows the resiliency of the human spirit and how a sense of humor can pull one out of situations that would destroy most of us. Historically significant and told with a parental familiarity, this is a must-read.

I know two papers liked it, got it,understood the message and are going forward with similar reviews. It has been out for four or so days. It is NOT linked to amazon, barnes & noble and won't be for several weeks. I personally am surprised they understood the message without calling me - they did though.

Don't discount the American people - They are us, so to speak. I think we, as a whole, "get it".

1. Yes, we are human beings and we do "get it". Our greatest fault:
often, we wait until circumstances become a crisis before we act.

2. You may be right.
I hope not.

I think our fathers had something very important to teach us - and I think if we have not learned this by now- we are in deep trouble.

A crisis now - there is no more second thought. Nuclear weapons saw to that. That is why the lessons are so important now - so important. They knew. And I think they are trying so hard to tell us. We better be listening with both ears.

Joe

PS - General Clark really should be president now. I think, in a very sick way, this is the most precarious time for our country since 1940. Something is coming our way.

I have a VERY bad feeling about this pretender president, I really do.
