No matter how much they try to hang China on Clinton,
It was an R who took us there to begin with -- Nixon, and Rs who have been negotiating the trade. Shoot, *'s uncle in in charge of that, I believe.

1. What are they hanging on Clinton?
It seems your point is we should not have a relationship with the worlds next super power?

2. Hang this......

http://bigpicture.typepad.com/comments/2005/10/subsidizing_us_.html

For most of recent history, foreigners holding US debt has been 20% or less. The shift began under Bill Clinton, starting around 1993, and accelerated into '94-95. When Clinton finished his 2nd term, foreign ownership of US Treasuries was about 35%.

That ownership has continued to rise under President Bush, and now stands at 52%.

http://www.brillig.com/debt_clock /

The estimated population of the United States is 298,434,131
so each citizen's share of this debt is $27,492.21.

The National Debt has continued to increase an average of
$2.14 billion per day since September 30, 2005!
Concerned? Then tell Congress and the White House!

3. Sorry, But Under Clinton China Became Most Favored Trade Partner

PERMANENTLY!

I remember how mad I was about this at the time!

I remember Jim Hightower and other progressives railing against this.

It was passed into law, even though the SOLID MAJORITY of

Americans, DID NOT want it! I think it was at least 70% opposed.

I KNEW THEN...that we DID NOT live in a "democracy"...or even

a "constitutional republic".

Sorry, but that's the way I remember it.
