Bush: Americans Sacrifice ‘Peace Of Mind When They See The Terrible Image’ Of War On TV
Last night on the PBS Newshour, Jim Lehrer asked President Bush why he hasn’t called on Americans — besides those serving in the volunteer military — to sacrifice something to help our country in this time of struggle. Bush claimed Americans are sacrificing: “They sacrifice peace of mind when they see the terrible image of violence on TV every night.” Bush explained that “the psychology of the country…is somewhat down because of this war.

Like Sen. John McCain (R-AZ), Bush said that he would “strongly oppose” raising taxes on the wealthy to help offset the increasing costs of war in Iraq because he wants “people to feel like their life’s moving on.” The Wall Street Journal reports, “The growing financial strain of Iraq will be spelled out as never before in a series of defense and war-related spending requests by the White House next month, expected to total more than $700 billion through Sept. 30, 2008.”

......watch Shrub here............

3. Life's certainly NOT moving on for the dead soldiers
and their fucking families, Mr. John McCain--you gasbag.

Like the lives of rich people have been unduly affected by this shit in the first place.

How is it that stupid crap can fall out of their mouths and no one really calls them on it?

5. So turn off your TVs
and let Dubya and Dick do the warmongering. Don't worry your pretty little heads about roadside bombs, torture, or bloodshed. You can go shopping instead. Who needs that pesky media anyway?

Dear heaven, just when I think Der Fuehrer has reached a new low, he manages to outdo himself.

9. Please be more sympathetic
The wonderful life loving bush supporting christian conservatives in this country tried to go shopping at Christmas time and had to contend with the War on Christmas. Is there no end to their pain and suffering?

6. No doubt
the twins are just racked with grief thinking of all the evil things which are happening to our troops because someone was mean to their daddy. Racked with grief when they are not fucked up drunk. and imagine the anguish and the pain hannity and limbaugh must be going through day after day. Don't worry george, a democrat will get elected president in 2008 and will have to contend with "the growing financial strain" and the rest of your disasters. You'll just mosy on down to non-extradition treaty signing Paraquay and while away the rest of your worthless hump of a life.

8. Goodness, the Bush family is very concerned about peace of mind.
"Why should we hear about body bags and deaths," Barbara Bush said on ABC's "Good Morning America" on March 18, 2003. "Oh, I mean, it's not relevant. So why should I waste my beautiful mind on something like that?"

Maybe Neil will open up a chain of mental health clinics very soon. Momma Bush can donate lots of money to charity if they use it to help Neil's clinics. The clinics will be full of people driven barking mad by seeing and hearing George W. Bush every freaking day. More good times for the Bush family.

10. Oh, yes--our beautiful minds.
The sad thing is that, to him and others of his ilk, having to view such images really is a sacrifice.

14. We desperately need a Kronkite moment...
An interviewer needs to look him in the eye and say, "You have got to be kidding, you should seek professional mental help right away Mr President!" live on national TV.
