Have you noticed the difference since Gates and Negroponte joined the team?

These are two of Poppy's favorite players. The Generals in the Iraq War have been relieved of their duties if they do not agree with Bush's escalation of the war. It is not a "surge"- it is an escalation.

Gates and Negroponte worked together against Sandinista "insurgency" in Nicaragua and assisted death squads in El Salvador thru Honduras and Panama. They are "insurgency" experts. They are the ones that Bush is now listening to - not Condi or anyone else.

1. Apparently though Negraponte got kicked to the curb cuz he didn't like chimps snooping.
So...even the bullshit is too high for Negroponte to stand.

3. I think he has moved in to save Dubya's butt...
at the request of Poppy. If he was "kicked to the curb", why would he be brought inside the circle??

5. Agreed. Negroponte can enjoy closer ties to groups who
can "get things done" when he's in The State Department instead of overseeing all of the intelligence assets. Oh, he's gonna be a busy boy that needs to be monitored closely. :(

4. Negroponte is a killer. He would kill you or me if it helped him some way
Negroponte is not a good guy who wouldn't go along with Bush.

Take my word on this one.

7. It's the Iran/Contras in some kind of power struggle with the neo-cons
but it's still all BFEE. There were just a couple of fall guys-they're all back.
