What is Bush Up to Now? Does Anyone Get it?
He wants more troops in Iraq - after 4 years. So he is getting rid of everyone who disagrees with him? And then Martin reports that we don't even have 20,000 troops - I think the most we have is 9,000.

Congress is against this move. Just about everyone else is against this move. So he just plans on doing it anyway? Because the President is no longer the representative of the American People? He is just a loose cannon?

This is getting scary. It's like he has just completely gone off the deep end (he's been going for a long time now). By God, he just is going to do what he wants to do and everyone else can just go straight to hell?

1. It's all about placing blame in the wrong place for his lost war.

3. If we aren't still at war in two years
the Republicans won't stand much of a chance at winning the presidency again. He only kinda sorta won last time, and then it was only because people don't like to change a president during a war. People might want to stick with the same group of people (with the same philosophy re the war) in 2008. Without that, they've got nothing.

4. He is a madman . . . make that Madman.
And yes, lady, it is scary as hell.

Guess we should thank our lucky stars that we weren't born in a Middle Eastern country.

He has completely gone round the bend. An unfeeling sociopath with an unquenchable urge to kill.

The adults that have come to power . . . are going to have to take hime to the woodshed very, very soon.

5. Putting aside his Napoleonic complex as well as his father issues,
I'd say * will do something stupid and desperate. After all, you're commander-in-chief and what do you do for an encore after you've hung Saddam Hussein?

6. there is a little known clause re: oil and the big oil companies and Iraq
It was suppose to go for 30 years but, with things collapsing he probably wants more to protect his big oil buddies while they get out as much oil as possible. They have been itching for this oil for decades and now, it's just within reach....

8. maybe flying into the ground is only solution(?)
when chimp-pilot bush went off his meds and burnt out an engine and started a fire in the hold while rest o passengers and crew stared in horror; now the plane's in stall and spiralling down at full throttle (the speedo says 'incredible aint it') maybe we can only hope to survive the crash by xxing fingers and burning sweetgrass etc!
because IF we somehow get enuff control of plane to, say, pull out of dive and set a course for runway 44, then bush and the crew and passengers (some of them) will complain that we screwed up bush's plans to 1)stop the spiral down by means of his vast kept-in-reserve piloting skills and secret magical monkee do abilities 2)land safely at runway 43 AFTER all the critics/bush bashers are dead fainted away! hahaha...
one way or another though, WE WILL STOP!

9. Putting them in place for attack on IRAN
Israel does the bombing and the US backs them up with ships and troops. Iraq is irrelevant at this point. They were just the stepping stone in the greater master plan.

10. He is trying to prolong the war until the next President is sworn in
The next President, very likely a democrat, will withdraw the troops and therefore be blamed for "losing" the war. He thinks that as long as we haven't "lost" while he is President, that he will be absolved of blame. Fat Chance Bozo!

12. I don't know whether its that or he just is going to do it his way -
no matter what anyone else thinks. No matter how stupid it is. No matter how many he kills in the process.

He acts like a four year old. I sometimes think that is just about where his mental state is. He even looks like a four year old - those odd looks he gets on his face.

I am beginning to think that there is a very good chance that he will be forced to resign. I didn't think that would happen but it might.

He doesn't work for us and he's not acting in the best interests of the U.S.

17. Never fear. This week, Dear Leader will patiently inform us that he's confident.
He'll assure us that he listened and understands how we children are misguided and misinformed and that he, our Dear Leader, is the Decider and won't run away from fredomizing those poor sand people who live on top of our oil. Resolute and focused, Dear Leader will tell us how it's necessary to sacrifice - to go out and shop and keep the 'conomy booming for the rightful inheritors of our nation's wealth. We'll hear how we must lighten the burden on the shoulders of our captains of industry, making the tax cuts peppermint - uh, permanent. Dear Leader will reassure us over and over and over again how he's confident and he's right. We must but listen and comply and maybe some day we'll understand his enlightenment.
