Is McCain Planning On Choosing Lieberman As His Running Mate?
Sheer speculation on my part. But looking at these two who are going so off the radar together, they seem as snug as two bugs in a rug. And now that Lieberliar is an indie McCain would get less flack for picking him. And really, doesn't LowJoe strike you as an independent republican?

22. I agree.
IN fact, I speculated on this exact topic early afternoon.
McCain will NOT win the Republican nod...so my guess is that he and Joe will be a third-party contender.

13. I hope all those "Democrats" I called from Ned's hq will be happy now!
You know, the ones who told me they just couldn't vote for Ned, Joe had more experience, they were against the Iraq war ("but"), blah, blah, blah.

Sick and tired doesn't even begin to explain it, the way I feel! Joe must be in the doldrums. Things ain't workin' out the way he thought they would. Right?

18. Maybe a series of freeway blogging will stop them from ever doing that again
Maybe some good freeway blog signs to drive home the point. How about this:

You wouldn't listen
You voted for Joe
Will your son be killed in Iraq?

~or~

We told you Joe is a war-monger
You wouldn't listen
Are you happy now?

~or~

Joe wants to escalate the war
Are you ashamed you voted for him?
You should be

40. I Commiserate
And truly hope during the coming days, that those who voted for him become horrified/outraged. Someone asked me yesterday, based on his statement that dems should lick * boots if he can be impeached. Sadly there is no case for that, yet. But he is balloon head full of ego and who knows, fortune may yet turn her face from him.

But that whistle distracts me. Maybe I'm overly sensitive. But once I noticed it, I can't seem to ignore it and it's become like nails on a chalkboard.

20. You won't see a ticket from 2 parties.
It'd only be if they both run on one independent ticket (which I've suggested before Lieberman will do). There's too much personal risk in running on a bipartisan ticket.

30. Good point ...
What was I thinking?!

We can heap loads of shit on McCain/Lieberman now. I just doubt McCain will be the candidate. I don't think even the reps like that arrogant asshole.

If someone else gets the rep nod, we can heap loads of shit on them.

We got plenty of shit to heap on our distinguished colleagues in the minority party. Been collecting it for a few years.

35. Well You Know
I don't think he's going to be the pug candidate either. He been acting too nutty lately, and he doesn't look very good either. And there is that denture problem. But my thought about this has more to do with what may be in their minds, what they think will happen. We've got two guys with enough ego each to sink a battleship. And Joe started up yesterday with his licking pf presidential boots. Given the climate of the country his statement made no sense no sense at all.

But on another "you know". I hope this does happen. For almost seven years now we've been developing ulcers. We need some fun and these two can provide it. It will definitely be a "what were they thinking" moment for us. McCain is a dirty, nasty little slug and Lieberman is such a good match for him that they are practically "sitting in a tree". We'll be able to hoot and holler our dem candidate right into the WH.

33. The amount of time
the two have been spending together, along with both of their positions in their parties, combined with their strong support for the neoconservative Middle East policies, make it seem possible. There was the rumor that John Kerry was considering asking McCain to consider the VP spot in '04. I do not know if it was true, or just a possibility being promoted by neoliberals looking to unite certain segments from the two parties. But I think it is very possible that a McCain-Lieberman by the neoconservatives and neoliberals in America, as the best bet for expanding the Cheney-Wolfowitz dream in the Middle East.
