So, what's the deal with the first hundred hours?
Is it 100 straight hours?

100 hours in session?

Are they going to burn the midnight oil?

If not, why not?

When does it start?

When does it end?

What's specifically on the agenda?

Does it include this swearing in stuff?

When do we get to the real business of getting our troops back from Iraq?

1. 100 hours in session
Randi said January 16th (or something like that) is the end.

3. It's 100 office hours. That's about 2 weeks, if they work late.
Three weeks if they work like the last Congress did.

4. You can expect an endless parade of Dreier-style delays.
I'm expecting that, at least- and I hope the Democrats are prepared to frame each one as the usual Republican "party-before-country" garbage.

5. Boy, those delays get on my nerves. I wish they'd change that rule,
or cut the delay down to 7.5 minutes instead of 15. They'll never get anything done, which is the rethug point, I'll wager.

6. They can just stay in session
and wait them out. I know it will be tiring, but if a majority votes to stay in session to get the people's work done, it will only look good for us, and very bad for the 'pukes, who are already known for being lazy from the last session.
