It's so exciting. I hope maybe some people will reflect on why we still need affirmative action. Look how long it took for a woman to get this position, and how much longer will it take for a minority?? If there were real equal opportunity, then women and minorities wouldn't have to get across that obstacle before they're even taken seriously on their leadership abilities, policies and vision. That's what affirmative action does, it removes those obstacles at the entry level so everyone can at least get to the starting gate.
