Sirius listeners: Do you guys listen to Lynn Samuels?

I love that woman and her accent. We listened to a lot of her stuff over the holidays and she's just so brazen, bold, and outspoken. I have no idea who she is, but I know she's a liberal and I love her. Anyone else?

1. I can't take her for long periods of time. I will say though when you picture her

around a kitchen table smokin shootin the shit with more blue hairs it makes the show better.

She's not so Liberal though...but she's ok in short spirts.

Sometimes I can't stand her, but yesterday she was ripping on about Art Bell....I was laughing my ass off. She was on a roll.

I don't like Ed Schultz(I think that's his name) So much. His callers are poorly screened and they make liberals look bad.

6. I don't have Sirius, but

I used to listen to her in the late 80s on New York City's Pacifica station, WBAI. Later she was on WABC, AM talk radio, one of the very few left-wing voices there. I miss her-- she was funny, usually on target, and only occasionally got on my nerves.

A couple of times she had Fran Drescher ("The Nanny") on, who has a very similar accent, and it was hysterical to hear the two of them together.

7. Have Sirius and take Lynn with a grain of salt;

Lucky enough to get all three hours of Thom Hartmann on local AM station and spend most of my afternoon there. If I have it right ,Alex Bennett and Lynn were canned by WABC (New York City) early on for being against the war. (if I have that wrong , someone please correct me) My son loves Lynn because she reminds him of Lisa Lampinelli.....I can't take the New York accent filtered through 2 packs a day of Camels, but to each his own. I wish she would take calls as I get tired of her personal views, but sometimes she's right on the mark and deadly!

8. I've listened to Lynn Samuels since WBAI and WABC in NYC in the 80s.

She is good. If she still takes callers, ask her opinion about Rudolph Giuliani and watch the fun. You'll hear generous vituperative invective such as "vile" and "despicable".

10. Glad she is on Sirius

I too, used to listen to her in the 80's when I lived in NY. Was pleasantly surprised to find her on Sirius last year.

At times, she can grate on your nerves, but coming from NY, I can just imagine sitting on your front stoop with her just shooting the shit. That is how she it.

Many times she is right on target and just says what is on her mind and ususally calls it as she sees it.

I love listening to her during the day.

9. I listened to her once...

She was on one day before a football game. I was mowing the lawn and needed the distraction. She was okay.

I was renting a car during Katrina which had Sirius and her show led to me signing up for the Sirius service. I will never forget her disgusted rants about Katrina, "we are ON OUR OWN, folks"...
