I think it's fairly humerous that a lot of my fellow college-bound students are either

ignorant to why the Democrats taking back Congress is good for them
or
refuse to admit it.

It is pretty clear to any thinker that cutting student loans in half and raising the minimum wage can only help college and college-bound students, yet down here in Texas some Republican activists are still licking their wounds after the '06 election.

I'm sure they won't say one word when their wallets become fuller.

2. Easier for rich GOP kids to get admitted when student loans are too costly

for kids who are smarter but poor. This is especially true for the private, more expensive schools. Every school will admit enough students to fill every available slot. If the smart kids from poorer backgrounds have to limit themselves to junior colleges or local state schools, there are more open spots at the Ivies and other expensive private schools.
