Mr. Bush...... I`ve a favor to ask when you finish your bike rides.
President Bush,

I realize the only suggestions you like are your own, but if you could put your mountain bike aside for a few days and concentrate on The Decision, I`d really appreciate it. My stomach is in knots over what`s referred to as "only a number." It`s up to 2,998. That`s 109 for the month or 3.73 for each December day. I could throw up just thinking about what January might bring.

Is there anyone around you who might suggest you move The Decision to the top of your to-do list? This is kind of reminding me of your behavior after you read that famous PDB about bin Laden. Do you ignore these type of things because your political consultants give you conflicting focus group data or do you always just dig your heels in when someone tries to pressure you into doing something? You told us you`re "The Decider" so could you start deciding? The longer you wait, the greater the chance a soldier will come home in a casket. Death is too serious an issue to be trumped by your self-will.

Think about it, Mr. President. We`re a Fast Nation. Instant everything from tapioca pudding to new fingernails to emails from London. We can practically have the things we want before we finish uttering the word "PRESTO." So, what`s the holdup? Can there really be that much new information to gather? Iraq is a horror show, right? People are getting blown up every day, right? "The numbers" are up, voters told you how they felt, former staunch supporters are dropping like flies and we can`t pay for anything we spend in Iraq. Can`t we just call it a day and go home?

America can`t take much more of this. We have a giant black eye that will take decades to heal, we`re having non-stop funerals, we`re broke and the call for artificial body parts is heart-wrenching. It`s your duty to treat these facts with serious consideration and start by immediately getting off that bike. I must say it`s painfully embarrassing to watch you roll around Crawford on your wheels while freshly wounded soldiers are lying in Iraqi dirt frantically trying to see what happened to their other leg. It reminds me of your Arizona/California holiday while that elderly man was trying to get through waist-deep water in his New Orleans wheelchair. It`s the kind of cold apathy that makes me bend in the middle and cry.

Almost make me think he's afraid of what awaits him.
Also makes me believe he doesn't give two hoots for the soldiers that are dying while he 'decides'.

4. He's having the same non-decision problems he had during Katrina.
His mind works/moves slowly...like a snail! He's had years to think about how he could win this war...and NOW we have to wait for him to talk to people and twist their arm er..I mean get their opinion.
