Meanwhile the Crawford Coward Hid in His Own Private Tornado Shelter on his "Ranch" Today

What a freaking weenie. Get a grip, asshat.

Bush sheltered during tornado alert

CRAWFORD, Texas - President Bush and first lady Laura Bush were moved to an armored vehicle on their ranch Friday when a tornado warning was issued in central Texas, the White House said.

The vehicle was driven to a tornado shelter on the ranch at 1:30 p.m. CST, and the president, Mrs. Bush and their two Scottish terriers, Barney and Miss Beazley, sat inside until the weather cleared, deputy White House press secretary Scott Stanzel said. They were never moved into the shelter, he said. The shelter is a few hundred yards away from the president's house on the ranch.

The rush to the tornado shelter interrupted Bush's day at the ranch where he cleared some cedar and was kept abreast of plans to execute Saddam Hussein in Iraq. The windy day of rain and thunder began with morning calls to wish him a happy new year from outgoing U.N. Secretary-General Kofi Annan and Colombian President Alvaro Uribe.

8. 1 person was killed and 12 were injured in Limestone County
which is just east of Waco.

I'm not a Bush fan, but unless you've been through a tornado, I'd hesitate to call him a "weenie".

9. Hadley got the short straw
and had to give him the timeline for the execution. He asked NOT to be awakened to be told when it had been completed. Hadley was the only one not there, in person (he was in Washington) and he had to tell him. Not one of those cowards down there with him did it.

11. thought bubbles....
Shrub: "Some one said there would be cookies... I don't see any cookies..."

Kondi: "after your speech, I told you. Say the lines and you can have a cookie..."

Gates: "Why did I EVER agree to take this position?"

Cheney: "I wish he'd get this over with. There's some birds in a cage in CO. just waiting for me to blast them to hell"

Ollie North: "Why do people keep mistaking me for Ollie North?"

16. Wow... that is probably the smartest thing he's done to date....
Color me surprised, but I figured he didn't have enough sense to even come in out of the rain... much less take shelter when a tornado is on the ground.

However, I'll bet his storm cellar was way more elaborate than the ones my parents or grandparents had when I was growing up...

Spent many a night in those shelters... when the sirens would go off...

Good thing too... the house next to us was destroyed one night...

I was only about 12... but it left an impression.
