MSNBC / Saddam execution - did you see the X-mas trees behind the correspondent?

My jaw dropped when I saw the correspondent reporting from Baghdad. Not one, but TWO Christmas trees were behind him as he was awaiting word of the execution. My husband and I were dumbfounded to see that. I mean, what kind of message is that sending to the rest of the world, particularly the Muslims whom we want to win the hearts and minds of?

Then the phone rang behind that correspondent, the camera was cut from him and went quickly to another correspondent for some quick banter. When they returned to the Baghad correspondent, the X-mas trees were gone!

I wanted to laugh but just couldn't. The whole situation is just not funny at all.
