2. Good "Christian" Entertainment
And as an aside, maybe a half dozen "ragheads" could be beheaded and their bludgeoned torsos dragged around the field for all to see. Now that wouldn't be near as traumatic or offensive as seeing a woman's bared breast. "Christians" of all ages would rejoice at the family entertainment.

Most likely saddam will be hanged minutes before the drug addicted military deserters' state of the union address.

4. problem wasn't just a bared breast but the fact that you had to look really close
and do a freeze frame to really make out her nipple jewelry. "see, see! right there! see! didja see it? here, i'll show you again!"

7. lets get creative
Saddam in a lion cage at the 50 yard line.

Underneath the half time stage.

justin timberlake and brittany spears doing a duet and instead of a wardrobe malfunction, the stage opens up and the door between Saddam and the Lions goes up with a Brittany/Justin grand opening sissor cut of a big yellow ribbon. (Yeah, THAT KIND of yellow ribbon0

6. I heard they actually considered doing it in a soccer stadium
but decided that security would be a problem. I guess they're going to do it in a US compound, which is appropriate because the Sunnis consider this to be a US execution.

10. hypocritical
If we held Bush, Cheney, Ruumsfeld, Rice, Powell, Bremer and all the other minions to the same moral standard this trial seemed to expect from Saddam, they could all go out together in a "circle-strangulation".

An auto-erotic death to them all simultaneously, kind of like a song Jim Morrison woulda written if he was still alive.

The Superbowl isn't until February.

Missed opportunity, poor timing.

18. I really don't think that's fair to Prince
First, how would it affect the costumes? Next, what kind of funky song would go with it? Also I can't imagine it being ok with his JW philosophy. Nope. Prince called it first. ;)

19. Sell tickets to attend the hanging in person.
Edited on Tue Dec-26-06 02:54 PM by badgerpup
They'll really rake it in then. :sarcasm:

I have a feeling that a lot of the bloodthirsters will lose their taste for it once they attend an actual real-life hanging where the man is actually DEAD and they realize this isn't a stunt man who will remove the noose and walk away grinning.

26. I'm thinking PAY-PER-VIEW
Talk about loading Time-Warner's coffers for the New Year. It would be a natural, with convention centers around the country showing it on Magnetron TV Screens.

Freepers would love it, especially since NASCAR is not running this time of year.

YEE-HAW

21. Sounds about right to me, esp. after the outright GLEE with which
the matter was discussed on tonight's news. NBC,as I recall. GODAMIGHTY, it was grotesque, not to mention barbaric. I was frankly reminded of the bloody spectacles that kept Roman citizens "entertained," So, yeah, hanging Saddam during half-time fits right in. Yeah, baby.
