Just had a thought. Suppose we spend the next two years on impeachment and lose big in 2008? We'd be right back in the soup.

Or better still, what if we really accomplished something for the people in the next two years and then win big in 2008?

1. What if we actually enforced the law and let the chips fall where they may?
Are we going to always perform political calculus before we act or are we going to behave as if the laws mean something?

I fear that if we just let these criminals slide it will plainly illustrate to the populace that we are more interested in getting and keeping political power than in supporting and defending "the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic."

Does that oath mean nothing in light of a future election?

2. Yawn.
Don't you think this has been said and re-said in all the impeachment threads?

Here's the thing....we can't ignore the law for the next 2 years. We do not have the right to pick and choose what laws we want to obey....and neither does the President.

It is the legal and moral thing to do, regardless of whether it is the convenient thing to do.

It won't take 2 years. And we really have no choice.

Having said that....Gore/Obama is going to win in a landslide in 2008.

5. We will follow the law....it'll be a refreshing change from the last 6 years.
And the law requires us to impeach them.
