It looks like our donations to 2nd Harvest are especially
needed.

There was just a blurb on NPR about 2nd Harvest being hurt badly this past year by reduced food donations, while having more people in need of their assistance.

Let's try to help our neighbors. Let's show * that the spirit of the holiday season is not just shopping.

5. Hey this can't be right.
I thought donors would flock to charities like this after we cut back on food stamp funding. Maybe I misunderstood.

6. They always knew what they were doing. Faith based, smaisch face.
The only time that charities did well, was when taxpayers were allowed hefty taxbreaks. I just don't know how stupid a culture has to be not to understand that greed is the motivating factor in a capitalist society. And, if all you do is worship the bling, bling without questioning the greed factor behind it, then don't be surprised if the rest of society just quits trying to play nice as they try to steal and grab just like the people at the top do. That's the legacy of the trickle down society. Greedy bastards at the top don't trickle down anything, but discontent.
