Did 9 U.S. troops die in Iraq today?
I just heard that as a fleeting comment on CNN this afternoon but haven't seen this report confirmed anywhere. Did I hear wrong or is this news being suppressed?

1. I have no idea. All they're talking about are the mountain climbers.
Mountain climbers and Laura Bush's tumor on her leg being removed.

5. So they ARE trying to suppress this news
I scoured all the usual online news sources and saw not even the slightest mention of this. This is an OUTRAGE and a slap in the face to the men and women dying over in Iraq.

I would never have even known about this if one CNN correspondent hadn't mentioned it in passing whilst reporting on another story.

7. I can't even post this news on LBN
Because the media isn't reporting this so I have no news link. Unbelievable.

3. I'm very much afraid you're correct....
I was working in another room, and just heard it in passing, but I'm afraid thats true. After a point, you begin to become numb to the horror.

9. Apparently five over Fri-Sat and 9 more reported today
And the resident Madman-in-Chief wants to send 35,000 more of our blood and treasure to Iraq so they can add their names to the list of casualties?

WILL THIS MADNESS NEVER END????

Looking back through the press releases, there was one soldier killed Monday, one Marine killed Saturday, and another Friday. The casualty reporting websites may have some lag, and are lumping together several days' worth.

This is where the media get their info. The releases are posted here a few minutes after they're spammed out to the bureaus in Baghdad and elsewhere.

12. Where is the MSM report?
CNN was reporting two casualties on Friday and three more on Saturday -- not counting 9 more they reported as having been killed in a single day. Now I can't even find THAT article. Why are these deaths being ignored/hidden by the MSM?

(I'm going to keep looking for that article about Friday and Saturday's casualties, which seems to have disappeared.)
