Reporter: Hillary Is More Afraid Of Edwards Than Obama
Edited on Sun Dec-17-06 11:18 AM by Quixote1818
Evidently, Edwards is way ahead in Iowa. If Edwards takes Iowa, he will likely go on to win it all.

Question: Is Nevada now the second state in the primary's? Matthews makes it sound that way.

4. Republicans
They are so fond of putting the democratic race down..why haven't they disected the different republican runners. why not tell all about newt and rudis' womanizing. How about the graft they were both so fond of,.

All they do is try to put disenting between the democrats.

5. This makes sense to me
This makes sense to me - and reminds me of the Dean/Kerry rivalry back in '03.

In NH, they were competing for exactly the same demographic and for a while they were deadlocked - Dean was winning but wasn't going up in the polls. Kerry sold himself as the Dean alternative and then moved heaven and earth to convince the public to choose the alternative.

But my point is: how come these campaigns are so unimaginiative about their target demographics? I know for sure that, despite the deadlocked situation, there were underserved Democratic constiuencies in NH.

NH has the quirk of allowing Independents to vote in the primaries. It's probably a "faux pas" to directly campaign to independents. There are also poorer Democrats who don't have time to go to these swanky house parties. And there are Democrats who never vote, probably because these guys come across to them as elitists

6. What does Edwards mean for Kerry
Would Kerry run against Edwards?

How come Edwards is so much further ahead of Tom Vilsack, Governor of Iowa!?

8. Because Iowa voters love him!
He came in second in the caucuses in "04. Was ENDORSED by the Des Moines Register. You can't MAKE people like you, baby. Iowans have met him, gotten to know him, and they want him to be President. Simple as that.
