youtube vrs. audio feeds

I appreciate the links to interesting interviews that are uploaded to youtube.com, but why can't we have more sites that prefer uploads in audio-only formats such as RealAudio, MP3, ect.? This would save a lot of bandwidth and it would allow more access with dial-up connections.

Besides that, why bother making a video of an interview when all you are showing is the person talking in front of a podium, or sitting in front of a reporter in an interview? An audio recording would seem to be a more efficient use of bandwidth, smaller file size, ect.
