what can appealing to the 'center' mean when
(for example) Walter Cronkite who was once considered "the most trusted man in America" in every poll offered on the subject, is now cast as an evil villain and traitor by Fox, Rush etc, and their minions.
What center?

insanity

1. Perhaps it means...
choosing between:
doing a wrong thing the wrong way (republican method)
doing a wrong thing the right way (democrat method)

2. Good point
the moderates think they are liberals,
so to them the center is way to the right.

3. My question, too. I thought honest, principled, compassionate,...
,...thinking people represented "center".

Now, the RW has redefined "center" to mean manipulative, calculating, selfish, thoughtless people.

The political labeling is all fucked up!

4. The Democrats keep chasing the center
while the Republicans keep pushing the center to the right. We fight a losing battle when we play to the center instead of standing up for Democratic values!
