My deep love & respect for President Bush grows more each day.
Edited on Fri Dec-15-06 05:36 AM by Philosoraptor
This thread title is for the folks that come here to find shocking headlines and then publish them out of context.

This is so we don't 'look bad' to the many weirdos who come here to troll for negative headlines.

I will also say that his glorious face should be carved on Mount Rushmore in place of Abe's.

1. Well I am for the next spot on Rushmore for Bush
I understand the rock is punk. Just like him to get a place that would fall apart once he got to get some one to start the face. I hardly think he will believe the science that tells him the rock is no good as he seems to have got rid of the science people who use that old way of doing things and now we use the GOP way. Faith that they are just right.

2. They gonna change the Atlantic Ocean to the Bush Toilet too...Pathetic and sad...
He will make a monumental Decision and win the day, win the War, and win Respect for his name and build his 1/2 billion dollar Library.

5. No, he shouldn't be added to Mt Rushmore.
If done there, his shinning visage would be lost among those lesser lights of American History already carved into stone.

No, our great and glorious leader need to have his likeness enshrined on a separate mountain; somewhere where it will stand out and be always be there, unchanged by eons of time.

Might I suggest a suitable mountain be found on the Dark Side of the Moon.

6. How about the Fresh Kills landfil in Staten Island--the World's largest?
It's a great big mound of dirt covering decades of New York City's garbage, various victims of mob hits and barrels of oozing illegally dumped waste.

Sounds like the perfect place for the Decider.

7. Then it would only be seen by a small number of people.
Plus there's that whole Seagull problem.

No, the back side of the moon is much better. Done large enough, not only would it inspire humans returning from exploring the vastness of Space, but it could also be seen as a request for Earth's entry into the Galactic Federation.

Surly any aliens gazing upon his countenance would instantly recognize his greatness too.

8. Seagulls! I forgot about the seagulls! Makes Fresh Kills sound even better
Better yet--part of the remains of the World Trade Center are I believe still stored just a short distance down the West Shore Expressway--it could be a theme.

Imagine, the Commander in Chief at the moment of the attack, staring blankly off into the distance at the oil refineries across the Kill Van Kull in New Jersey, a copy of "My Pet Goat" in his hands. while vast flocks of seagulls crack clamshells and split garbage bags on Bush's smirking visage and thousands of commuters stuck in the inevitable traffic jams flash the Universal American Salute at the statue as they creep past.

It's art.

Besides, the dark side of the moon would be cool, sure. But Fresh Kills would be a whole hell of a lot cheaper and do we really want to waste large sums of taxpayer's money commemorating this bum.

9. Ok, How about we compromise?
Two memorials:

Your Fresh Kills one and mine on the far-side of the Moon. If we have two, then maybe Halliburton will give us a package deal. Worth a shot I'd say.

As far as spending vast sums of money:

No expense should be spared in order to commemorate our dear and much beloved leader. After all, it's only money and we can keep going as long as China is willing to buy our Bonds. Hell, I'm willing to bet that they'd throw in on it if we give them space to put a carving of a dis-assembled P3 Orion as a tribute to the first of his many foreign policy successes.

12. Sounds like a deal. And yes, of course Halliburton would be the ideal company to build them.
Think we can send Cheney to the moon to personally supervise the construction?

13. There we might have a problem.
We got rid of all our heavy throw weight launch vehicles back in the 70's We might have to send him in sections to be re-assembled later. Normally this wouldn't be a really big hassle, but on the moon it might be hard to get all the bolts and electrical connections to line up right. But on the good side, being a cyborg and all, Cheney wouldn't need any big oxygen bottles to lug around.

10. Why not just sculpt someone's full mooned ass in that spot?
Edited on Fri Dec-15-06 07:56 AM by Crankie Avalon
That way, it can be whomever of the parade of losers, conmen, and outright traitors the right wants to pretend should be lionized (Nixon, Regan, Bush, etc.)?
