High School Science Teacher At My School Wants To Borrow My Copy Of Inconvenient Truth
He's a republican, but a decent guy. He heard from another teacher that I had purchased the DVD, and wanted to hear what Al Gore said about global warming. I talked to him, and he was wondering if it was a balanced view, and I said yes, it definitely was, as both sides of this isssue were presentend. I also said curriculum materials were available, and that I heard a national group of science teachers had rejected 50,000 free copies of the DVD. I told him the DVD cost about $30, but I thought that if he'd ask, he might get it free, or at a very reduced rate, especially if he used it in his MS/HS science classes. (This is a small school). He seemed very interested, and I am bringing him the DVD tomorrow. Could be a future Dem here. . . Suggestions? Comments?

3. Well, it's a "plain as the nose on your face" fact that something is going on
and it sure is 'inconvenient' ....

It's almost sixty degrees in Boston right now. I mean, come on! It's DECEMBER!!! And Boston is the windiest city, even though Chicago likes the title....

6. Chicago is called the "Windy City" because of a political convention, not because of...
...weather conditions. Factoid.

4. The film speaks for itself.......
Just hand it to him and offer to discuss it afterwards.

I saw it at the movies and was very moved not only by the message, but by Al Gore.

5. Loaning it would be a good idea
But as for party affiliation, please keep in mind that you are advancing a "common cause" with him and that you don't want to get into any divisive conversations. Just talk about the film. There are republicans that are concerned about global warming. We need all the help we can get. (Check out the kilowattours film in my sig line if you get a chance.)
