oh, and who the fuck makes the Gawdawful matron's, I mean women's fashions these poor women have to wear ? Sen. Clinton was a standout tonight looking fresh and lively, and Nancy Pelosi carried off her red suit with aplomb, but otherwise, Gawd. At least they let Laura leave the retiree stuff behind for the evening. I think Isaac Mizrahi or Gaultier needs to be let loose in the Capitol some day with light schedules, and they need to sneak around and create a fashion upheaval there. They should do it for free, what with the budget deficit and everything. If they got into the men's offices they'd create multiple coronaries, that's a few decades away from viability yet, but cheer up the ladies, who knows, better legislation and government might result. Right now it's like Babs' tailor is heavily recommended for everyone...
