Dear Mr. Bush,

Tonight in your State of the Union speech, you called for renewal of the Patriot Act and continued spying on Americans, in the name of "national security." Our privacy, you said, is less important than keeping us safe. You want us to accept that our calls to Grandma in Glasgow or our sister in Ontario will be listened in on, in the name of increasing our freedom.

Well, Mr. Bush, you have run the most secretive White House in history. So I say, You first! Let's have some real answers about the myriad things your administration has been hiding and trying to cover up. That would be a start.
