Bush has broken laws
He is guilty of so much. He lied about WMDs. He invaded the sovereign country of Iraq. Condoned the torturing of prisoners. Illegal domestic wiretapping without a court order. Why is he allowed to get by with so much? Is Bush immune from prosecution?

:grr:

1. Corporate Crime At Harken
- profited from insider trading
- deserted his military unit to avoid a drug test
- drunk driver
- abuses alcohol and drugs
- and on and on and on

A total worthless human being who is a hero to "conservatives" in this country. They are guilty of blatant and arrogant ignorance and faking patriotism.

4. Makes you kind of wonder
what exactly qualifies as "high crimes & misdemeanors" when Pelosi says "impeachment is off the table." This administration has been nothing but lies, corruption, cronyism, signing statements, undeclared wars, torture, sneering at and undermining the Constitution --- and God knows what else.

5. So, then he can't be charged unless he is impeached?

6. Yes my dear. In a dictatorship the leaders can do what ever they want.
It is only the small fry like ourselves who must follow the law.

7. Just the Facts, Ma'am...
As they used to say on Dragnet.

He's not "getting by"! He's not 'immune', either.
But without hard evidence and proof of a crime, moves to impeach, arrest or whatver are going nowhere.

Here's how it shakes out thus far...

Lied about WMD's? Doesn't look like it, but, even if so, (and you won't prove that easily), it's "matter of perception".

Invasion? With permission of Congress. No crime.

Condoned Torture? Everything done was "on the books". Standard Operating Procedure. Subject to interpretation, granted, but condoning the status quo that existed before he was in office isn't a crime.

Illegal wiretapping. Not domestic. Not a crime...(yet!). There will, no doubt, be 'clarifications' but you're not going to pin this one a slippery eel like El Presidente!

He's masterfully interpreting, skirting, skipping and meandering around the law! It's going to take a lot more than anger and gut feelings to put this group in traction. It's going to take some time, serious thought, and some clear, undeniable violations of the law.

Can he be "gotten"? Probably.

Soon?

No.
