Amazing....watching CNN, they are pretty much trashing *'s speech.
Someone mentioned that is was nothing but a Rove fear/terror speech - wondering where the domestic program stuff was. Go figure - I thought that they would be jacking off over the speech, and they are doing somewhat of a 180. I just don't get the media!!!!!!!!!!!!!
because his folksy style was a good counter to the prezzledent's folksy style...I even thought Kaine was some sort of preacher when he first came on--I honestly thought they were going to ask for some prayers for the country.
So I thought he came off as 'real' and confident to the average person.
My two democratic senators voted "yea" on closing cloture for Alito and "nea" on his confirmation. SPINELESS PUSSIES!!! What am I supposed to do???? Pat them on the back for voting against his nomination????? This is pathetic!!!!!
I'm actually kinda happy about how MSNBC is reporting - divisive. They are highlighting the division down the middle of the chamber. It's good that they are highlighting the fact that the parties are super-divided (considering how much some are eating our own on the Alito matter - a little unity in the dem party is a GOOD thing - even if only perceived, it's perceived on the national stage)....
Asking tough questions, to McCain now. Even pointed out the positive speech poll #s was due to the fact that people who like *turd are the ones who are more likely to watch the SOTU.
