Please help me help a Fellow DUer - Straight Story --->

First off - MODS - Please allow this to stay in GD! Most of us know Straight Story here.

I would like the DU Community to come together to assist Straight Story in his difficult time.

All of us, at one point or another, have been in a hard spot - emotionally or financially, or both. And while money doesn't fix everything it does allow one to have a little bit of breathing space; one less thing to worry about.

I have set up a PayPal account to which donations can be made. If each of us offers what we can the account will no doubt add up rather quickly - If we can raise money to send Helen Thomas roses we can certainly help one of our own.

I intend to leave the account open through the 15th and will send Straight Story and his family the proceeds.

I believe that a goal of $5,000.00 is not in any way unreasonable.
