IRONY ALERT!

Son of ex-Liberian president charged with committing torture
By CURT ANDERSON Associated Press Writer (AP) -

MIAMI-The son of former Liberian President Charles Taylor was indicted Wednesday on U.S. charges of committing torture as chief of a violent paramilitary unit during his father's regime, marking the first time a 12-year-old federal anti-torture law has ever been used, U.S. officials said.

6. Spoiled sons of former presidents are their own nation
and have nothing to do with national borders as us commoners recognize them ;)

3. CRAP! He was supposed to be sending me $26 million dollars!
I'd already sent him my bank account numbers and was expecting the transfer any day now.

4. Isn't this precedence setting? Help.in confirming conclusions?

Or was precedence set prior to the law signing? Twelve year old law? That means it was signed by or duing the Clinton era? Oh oh.

Papa Taylor is Pat Robertson's buddy. Looks like Robertson didn't spring for the lawyer - the one representing Baby Taylor is court assigned?

Will we be hearing about this law again soon in reference to some other citizens being charged under this law? Other citizens being those activists paid by corporations or the citizens - out in Diego Garcia, Roumania, Abu Graib, Guantanamo, Egypt?

If the law applies to a US citizen acting against Liberians, why not a KBR employee or a sargeant acting against Moslems? Moslems from a variety of places, picked up and flown in a CIA custom fitted Boeing or Leer jet to an exotic place. Picked up even in northern Italy? And what about the pilots?

5. Papa Charles Taylor is in a cell at the Hague, trying to get his
genocide/war crimes trial SPED UP, btw. He's not enjoying his incarceration.
