$500,000,000 Won't Be Enough to Redeem Bush's Legacy with a Library
Edited on Thu Dec-07-06 09:45 AM by Crisco
$2 billion won't be enough.

They can pay as many people to write as many Bush-policy-friendly articles as they like, but nothing will ever hide America's distaste for this shrub of a president, once everyone saw what was behind the veil.

Bush will go down in history for successfully implementing four things:

Trillion dollar tax cuts that favored the rich.
No Child Left Behind
War on Afghanistan
War in Iraq

In two of the four (tax cuts, NCLB), the debate about whether or not they were beneficial still rages.

Of the other two, while both were successfully implemented, both are still raging five and three years later. The latter of the two can no longer be said to be anything but disastrous for our security both militarily and financially.

That $500,000 would be better spent paying off Sunni insurgents and bribing Moqtada al Sadr, if Bush wants any kind of favorable legacy.

2. I think the number you want is
500,000,000, not 500,000

5. You're welcome
As you said, 2 billion won't be enough to rescue his image. In the realm of the history of this country, the damage he has done is immeasurable.

9. By the time Bush is done any library dedicated to him could ...
well be the target of mobs of angry peasants armed with pitchforks and torches.
