Edited on Mon Nov-27-06 10:33 PM by wndycty
. . .be fair and balanced? And then he questioned the Daily Show's credibility if they don't go after Democrats. Does he realize its a FAKE NEWS show? I about fell off of my chair. I hope to God Stewart does something with this.

ON EDIT: I just uploaded it http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pEWjSpV1Gps

Give it a few minutes to update.

1. I figured that the "fair and balance" would be the Colbert Report

17. LOL. Fox isn't fair and balanced. It just claims to be. The Daily Show
is comedy and great comedy at that. They do make fun of Democrats when they do something stupid. Comedians always make fun of the President. That is their job.

30. I'll never forget the Golden LOL Moment
Jon Stewart incredulously reminding Paul Begala and Tucker Carlson that they are comparing Crossfire to a comedy show.

Also, do these heathens not remember how much fodder the Clinton Administration provided for comedy writers??? Hell, they're STILL doing Monica jokes almost 10 YEARS LATER!!!

3. Yeah because of that "equal time" in media law. Oh yeah, never mind...
When some yutz like that DEMANDS FOX news be as tough on Republicans as on Democrats, maybe I'll listen to that guy.

12. You can go to bed early tonight.
Firstly, the Daily Show probably taped before the guest on "Scarborough Country" made his strange remark.

Secondly, they don't often cover "Scarborough Country" on "The Daily Show."

to the mentions

23. Most people aren't familiar with Bob Kohn. Including me.
Edited on Tue Nov-28-06 12:25 AM by Eric J in MN
It took me a while to find his name after hearing that strange remark.

It's not like if a famous pundit said something against "The Daily Show."

I doubt they'll cover it tomorrow night, but we'll find out in less than 24 hours.

5. Uh-oh... If Scarborough invites Jon on and challenges him on "fair & balanced"
Edited on Mon Nov-27-06 09:50 PM by IndyOp
then it will be ALL OVER for Scarborough Country! :applause:

"Crossfire" died asking Jon why Jon did not do more balanced journalism. Really, literally, the show was OVER the day Jon Stewart appeared. Watch here:

10. That may have been Jons finest hour
Right after Jon was on Crossfire they pulled the plug on the show. I liked Jon before that but when he begged them to stop what they were doing, I became a lifelong fan of Jon Stewarts.

7. They always seem to have a problem with fake vs real
Fake cartoon characters, Murphy Brown, a fake news show. Easier than dealing with reality I guess.

8. Thing is
the Dems just don't provide all that much hilarious material.

To date the Repugs control everything. So it stands to reason that most of the good material would lie with them.

On second thought, maybe we all should be demanding that Rush be more fair and balanced.

13. If he followed "Countdown" by expressing a bunch of conservative opinions,
...most Countdown viewers wouldn't want to stay tuned for that.

But if he just introduces clips and asks guests to comment on them, they may stay tuned.

obsession thing going with Jon. I beginning to think he may start stalking him. Whatever you do Jon, don't go in Scarborough's office alone ;)

15. So Any body listened to rush
how fair and balanced is he..................wonder why the republicans don't think he doesn't have to be...Isn't it odd. When you have a show that leans a little left the republicans scream and holler but they think

hannity, o'reilly and the rest of the Fox Boys, drudge, savage, malken, rush, scarbrough, matthews, tucker, beck, and the CNN cast are ALL FAIR AND BALANCED...DARN....

:wtf:

Ah yes. Their comedy is no longer credible? What is BELIEVABLE comedy? Actually, come to think of it, I do find Fox News to be an incredible source of comedy.

27. Scarborough's ratings are in the dumper
so he uses Clips of other shows to bolster HIS.

Jon Stewart is keeping Scarborough ALIVE, and the Daily Show should tell their lawyers to tell MSNBC's lawyers to knock it off with the clips, as THAT is where they are making their INCOME, on the Back of the Daily Show..

Not first amendment stuff, it's bandwidth stealing IMHO :)
