Strange AP article on Bush being "reinvigorated" on Asian trip
by Chris in Paris - 11/21/2006 08:40:00 PM

So how did their "analysis" conclude that he has been reinvigorated why he failed to get allies in the region, South Korea in particular, to jump on his initiative to board ships going to North Korea? Sounds like yet another setback to me. The "analysis" goes on to talk about his election failures and how nobody is talking about that or the sacking of Rumsfeld, so what does that have to do with Bush being reinvigorated? A breather before the storm when he arrives back in the US and continues his partisan attacks and pushes for more extremist judges, but hardly anything that resembles being reinvigorated. A brief flash of bluster with his pro-war friend from Australia but that's standard when Bush and Howard are together.

What rubbish.

2. Another conversation with God, per chance?
That's not a good sign.

3. That's because he has a date in Jordan with Maliki after Thanksgiving;
there are supposedly 2 or 3 other countries he'll be saying 'hi' to also. His joy comes from not having to confront angry Americans, Dems and rethugs, or state his opinion about Iraq.

4. Shrubling doesn't appreciate...
or respect how heavy the responsibility of being President is supposed to be. For him, it was just an "Asian" vacation/sight-seeing trip with the wifey. Meet a few peons (heads of state), tell them we think they ought to do so and so--what's that? They don't want to; their loss... "We'll get them back someday, somehow; maybe cut their subsidies... Whatever... Now, to enjoy the show--the sights, the dinners... etc.".

If I had his work ethic and certainty that everything he does is right--and whatever happens is supposed to happen, after all, it's planned by God--and I'm specially chosen and favored by God (nothing can happen to me that isn't great--even if it doesn't seem entirely wonderful)... Methinks I'd enjoy a carefully planned, choreographed trip across Asia with all the sights, special shows and dinners, and only a few hours of meetings wherein I get to meet the leaders of those countries--which leaders I'm assured of being treated with respect. No big stress; after all, I'm me and it's all good.

First President in History to come out of the office after eight years with fewer gray hairs than he went in... (of course, he has aged, but not from the stress...).

5. Sheep hormones? Wouldn't that be ironic.
Drawn from his koolaid drinking loyalists, no doubt. Maybe add a little Botox, a tummy tuck, eye lift...........NO! NOOOO! NOT THE BREAST ENHANCEMENTS!!!

Did they give him a brain and soul transplant?
