Conservatives never admit that they lost.

We are hearing the same echo chamber from the American Right that we heard after the 1992 and 1996 elections: "we lost because the GOP was too moderate. We got soft on conservative values. We compromised. We didn't get our message out. The Democrats won because they pretended to be the real conservatives. A majority of Americans are conservative and will always vote for the most conservative candidate. Conservatism is doing great. Republicanism lost, conservatism did not."

They never ever admit that they lost. They never admit that in fact their message did get out, and the American people rejected it. They never admit that maybe, just maybe, most Americans do not share most of their conservative values.

2. What does Conservative mean?

To conserve whatever is. Preserve the way things are. How are things?: Americans wake every day to reports of Death and Destruction that we started un-necessarily - Preserve that. A great deal of money is missing and we didn't "get anything for it". - Preserve that. Government has been co-opted by big corporations while many, many people are struggling, or at least living on the edge of ruin. Preserve that. Keep cutting down and paving over all of the trees and grass. Continue to Support Racism, religeous discrimination and homophobia at least indirectly. Things canot be better than they are, so don't waste your time thinking about a better way to do anything. War is inevitable. Kill them before they _________________.

Many people are not naturally Conservative and many others are naturally Liberal, which is the opposite of everything I just mentioned.
