LOL-- Rush/Glenn Beck call Santorum "the Churchill of our day"

:crazy:but Pennsylvanians were too small-minded to see it!:crazy:What say you, Pennsylvanians?

GLENN BECK: Explain Rick Santorum's loss to me. I believe that guy is the Churchill of our day.

RUSH: I can explain it.

GLENN BECK: Go ahead.

RUSH: I can explain it. I looked this up, Philadelphia, the whole state, Pittsburgh, Philadelphia primarily, the whole state -- is the second largest population of elderly people in the country. Santorum is a visionary. He was talking about things that affect the country, not just Pennsylvania, 15, 20 years down the road. Most of the people in Pennsylvania are worried about the next two to three years and basically what's the government going to do for them in the remaining years of their lives. All this other stuff doesn't matter to them now at this stage of their lives.

1. Visionary??
What was he seeing? Some people are put on medication for their 'visions.' If I kept visualizing 'man on dog' I'd want to be on meds.

Rush knows all about that kind of thing. :eyes:

3. the Churchill of our day???
Is "Churchill" the name of a local brand of box wine, by any chance? I'm missing out on the "A is to B" part of this analogy, somehow... :freak:

4. Santorum is a right wing evangelist nut
who made his kids hold and sing to to a stillborn. He was very close to Ted Haggard.

9. Churchill failed dramatically at domestic policy after the war
And was voted out unceremoniously.

So, he has that in common with Santorum.

11. I honestly have no clue
why Santorum was being praised so much on election night. Matthews and others went on about Santorum's great concession speech. Now to his credit, he did congratulate Casey and even told his supporters to give Casey a round of applause.

But they went on about Santotum being "brilliant" and even Howard Dean praised Santorum as being very intelligent.

Santorum is quite a few things, but I never noticed even a hint of intelligence all the times I've seen him on TV. He has come off as one of the shallowest and idiotic politicians I have seen. His "mang of dog" interview will go down as one of the most bizarre rantings by an American politician. When the AP reporter actually tells you, "I'm uncomfortable by that comment", you know it's bad.
