A survey of 1200 likely voters taken in 12 swing districts this past Sunday and Monday might explain why Republicans might have a long night ahead of them. The veteran GOP pollster says he has "never seen anything like it." Asked who is more likely to cut taxes for the middle class - 42 percent said Democrats, 29 picked Republicans. Who is more likely to reduce the deficit? 47 - Democrats, 22 - Repubicans. And, who is more likely to control spending? Democrats - 38, Republicans - 21. In the past, even if Repubicans didn't win some race or another, they were more trusted on taxes and spending issues.

Don't know what liberal group conducted this poll, but if these numbers reflect any truth, I think our party needs to reconsider it's leadership.

Should have asked who is more likely to keep you working and out of bread lines after terrorists take down the WTC hit the Pentagon and effectively ground our entire Airline and travel industry causing severe economic chaos..... Oh would that one get a 50-50 ?

It's nauseating to see all that railing I've done against TV watching rotting your mind is actually correct.

9. I'm guessing...
...that plenty of the Freepers are rich folks who believe they're middle class.

That, and they're ignorant.

3. They watned the middle class to learn to hate taxes... like rich people
do. Except that it is only a certain kind of rich person who is anti government and pro - armagedon. And there is not too many of them. They never have a majority of their own dam selves, so that is why they use the fear card to whip up the poor into voting for their elite rule.

Disraelian. A the jig is up.

5. Sad to say, in Georgia the poor still buy it.
Nascar Nation still thinks that Good People can only vote Repiglican, and thanks to them Governor Elmer Fudd won reelection by a landslide. But on Tuesday night I was just too damn happy to see that the citizens of my native Pennsylvania had made the Arch-Pig Santorum cry like a baby. Screw him

7. I don't know what makes people like him. And I understand he was considered
a rising star in conservative circles. They say he will find some new role. I live in Canada. And I don't understand that part of America that thinks diminishing any one group lifts one up.

8. The Nation's fascination with the cabooie hat is over I'd say!
And 10X Beavers are only for the richies these days.

6. BushCo screwed over the travel and tourist industry.
Everytime they opened their mouths, another hotel or travel agency went belly up. Did a stewardess once turn George down?

All they needed to do, was secure the door to the pilot's cabin....they had plenty of warning. They didn't order the doors secured.

Have they done that yet, btw?
