Tony Snow on Medved radio today & i paraphrase, 'Democrats won by...
co-opting conservative republicans themes, ideals & principles when you look at the races, who won them, and how their campaigns were run; government should always have a voice for a reform position, and that reformer remains g.w. bush'

not so stunning a statement as it is telling...

in the midst of what i still consider a tremendous show of politic, process & democratic resolve; they, along with hate-radio have not stopped talking for one breath...they are already maneuvering their positions for a continuing two years worth of ever-more shit-talk, and i would that we would teach them further by way of demonstrating clear-eyed, level headed democratic governance that is all

6. No cooption involved,
they just abandoned the ones all Americans stand for, regardless of the claims the republican's made as to their sole ownership of said values.

9. It's the new GOP talking point
Meaning that all the people they accused of being 'liberal' are now 'centrist' and 'conservative'.

:wtf:

The bullshit's so thick you can cut it.

10. Spin it any way you want to spin it, Tony.
Here's what you need to know: The Republicans are pissing people off. People of ALL backgrounds. When you piss too many people off, you get spanked in elections. Period.

14. What ideas would those be?
pre-emptive war against Iran? no
privatizing Social Security? no
huge, across the board tax cuts? no
sending our industrial base to China? no
debt and deficit as far as the eye can see? no
big Pharma giveaway instead of fixing health care? no
national sales tax? no

It's so cute to see some of them pretend like they are the big alternative energy guy. It's pretty insulting to our intelligence. They only allow ethanol because they would get wiped out in the MidWest if they didn't

It's so cute to see them pretend like they are fiscally responsible and even cuter that they call that "fiscally conservative" What would "fiscally liberal" be? Spend all the money on food stamps for Muslim illegal aliens and to have "In God we Trust" sand blasted off all the money?

so exactly which republican ideas are we co-opting? I just don't get it!

18. Pshaw! Who would want to co-opt conservative themes, IDEALS???? and principles???
Edited on Thu Nov-09-06 06:24 PM by in_cog_ni_to
I wasn't aware they had any Principles.

Michael Medved is dreaming. We won because people saw what THEIR party IS...full of hatred for gays, women, anyone different than them, blacks, Hispanics and they cater to the RELIGIOUS RW WACKOS like Falwell, Dobson and Robertson and they're CORRUPT AS HELL. THEY OWN THIS LOSS. They made their bed and I hope they never get out of it.

Edited on Thu Nov-09-06 06:33 PM by seasonedblue
should in no uncertain terms disavow all republicans of that notion, and alert them to the fact that we consider their labeling our party "Democrat" insulting and will challenge them every time they use it.

21. agreed, i've had a take on that for some time now; they are afraid...
to acknowledge dems as: The Democratic Party; because we embody within the handle itself: Democracy...and that pisses them off to no end, they being divisive & derisive at their core, they cannot find it within themselves to acknowledge further a party who's core it is to advocate: Democracy

so i say make them pay for even their simple transgressions, maybe even just a little something, every time they step up to the counter :hi:

22. Bull!
I'm tired of this stupidity already. If people like conservative themes, etcetera, they would have voted for the damn Republicans! Also, here in Florida, the only way Charlie Crist won was by acting like a moderate and it sounds like Arnold did the same.

sounds like what happened to your guy too, but the people out here are still watching, we already stuffed four initiatives up his ass he thought his star power alone would get passed...not so
