10. He should only imagine how bad he'd feel if he had lost a family member,
like so many U.S. families of soldiers, or a LOT of family members, like so many Iraqii citizens, or his arms and legs, like both Americans and Iraqiis.

He's probably despondent about losing the ability to send an endless procession of people to their violent deaths.

He'll perk up. Maybe he can get a job working in a death chamber at a U.S. penitentiary.
