Could Rumsfeld's resignation been the 'deal' between Pelosi and the WH in return for impeachment being taken off the table???

1. Could be - impeachment would divide the country further - maybe Bush has also
made some other concessions to avoid impeachment - So...

more resignations to come?

He woudl have had to go in the event of a blue wave anyway. Pelosi woudl have nothing to gain from that deal.
