No matter how big we win...and it's lookin' pretty damn good right now! :woohoo:
methinks it will be back to "Gouging and screwing over Business as usual" for Big Oil as soon as the champagne stops fizzing. :tinfoilhat:

just sayin'...and we've seen this pattern before.

3. I filled up yesterday. Was too busy to notice the price -- we get 3 cents off
a gallon for shopping and filling up at Safeway.

6 cents a gallon off if we spend more than $50 at Safeway.

17. We save pocket-fulls of money by shopping @ Win-Co
Win-Co is employee owned, so not only do we save big $$$, but we feel better about who is benifiting from our consumerism. They also sell lots of things in bulk--wow--if you watch what you are doing you can save bundles. Their meat department puts $1, $2, or $3 price off of their meats that are soon to expire, usually about 11am.

No matter how we slice the math, we save far more by buying @ Win-Co and then buying our gas @ CITGO. :hi:

11. I don't really think it mattered who won
Gas was going up no matter what. Even a guy like me, who doesn't really believe in a lot of conspiracy theories, believes this.

22. Screw the bastards! Run on vegetable oil instead!

Want to stick it to the oil companies? Drive on vegetable oil instead!
Diesels offer advantages over hybrids
8.1.06
Gary Beckwith

With today's high gas prices, people are waiting in line to buy hybrid vehicles - cars that have an electric motor to assist the gas engine, which makes for better gas mileage. Some do it to save money, some to save the earth from global warming. Either way, demand for the hybrids is strong and increasing.

But for those who really want to drive an environmental car and save a few bucks too, the better choice is to get a diesel. You can burn biodiesel, now available in most cities. Biodiesel is refined vegetable oil that comes from American farmlands and has a lot of environmental benefits. And if you really want to go for it, you can tweek your diesel car to run on "SVO" (Straight Vegetable Oil) without much effort. I know this because I've been driving my 1985 Mercedes on used vegetable oil collected from restaurants for several months now, while some people are still waiting for their Hybrids to arrive. And just recently the 35ft long, 12 ton Solar Bus was adapted to run on pure, sweet smelling vegetable oil. If a big bus can do it, you can too.
