5. Called Reid's office. Good response. Stated we cannot afford another
extremist nominee like Samuel Alito to such a vital position as a Supreme Court Justice. Mr. Alito proved he was unworthy of such a position when he intentionally avoided answering a number of key questions during his hearing.

We have already accepted one nominee who refused to answer the required questions during his hearing and we rewarded him with the position anyway. We cannot afford as a nation to accept another justice who is willing and able to grant yet more power to the office of the Presidency and is determined to do so.

13. Called Jeffords office, he is a no vote, and hasn't decided on filibuster
told them that a NO vote as meaningless unless he was able to back it up with support of a filibuster.

If he was bad enough to vote no for then he should stick to his guns and conscience and go along with a filibuster.

18. "Hello! My name is ___________ and I'm a dedicated voter!"
"I realize you've been getting many calls on this subject, but I'd like to STRONGLY urge Senator ______ to not only vote 'No' on Judge Alito, and vote 'No' on cloture, but to encourage other Senators to do the same. I will be watching not only the votes, but the campaign funding of Leadership PACs. I will NOT be supporting or contributing to any Senator who fails to oppose Alito or to any Senator whose Leadership PAC makes campaign contributions to Senators failing to do so. As an independent liberal, I'd rather vote for a third party candidate who represents my interests and my values than vote for someoone who does not, no matter what party. Thank you for conveying this message to Senator ____. Have a good weekend!"

20. Don't forget Landrieu...she doesn't show up on the list, and is
very important.

I tried to post a comment, but I can't find how to make a comment on that site!

!@#$%^&*!

If anyone is a member, try to get the owner of that blog to update. Also, suggest that the Gang of 14 members have an asterisk by their names, so we can point out how the circumstances really are extraordinary and urge them to support the filibuster, and vote against a nuclear option, if it comes down to that.
