How political has Ted Haggard been?
Did he give any speeches bashing Al Gore or John Kerry or Hillary Clinton, or speeches praising George W. Bush?

1. For starters, he took his marching orders...

...straight from the WH, in the form of weekly conference calls. And his work may not have been high profile but, in his leadership position over the biggest association of evangelical ministers (NAE) and as head pastor of a 14,000-strong group of right wing fundies, you can bet he's been very political.

7. That's real - so is this trailer from Jesus Camp
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y_EKHK1C2IE

in which he says "If the Evangelicals vote, they determine the election". Scary stuff, that.

4. I was wondering that myself.
I know he's hypocritical on the gay marriage thing but I don't remember seeing him yammer on against Liberals on any cable shows like Fallwell, Dobson, Robertson etc.

5. He is definitely more moderate than the others
He has said gays and lesbians will go to heaven if they accept Jesus.

11. He directly campaigned for Bush to his congregation
saw a thread about it here yesterday -- that's "political" enough for me.
