Could it be that the DNC has finally decided "if you can't beat
'em, join 'em" and adopted some Rovian tactics? Find some dirt on the opposition and expose them at the most inopportune time...

If so, I say it's about time!

Before flaming, please know that when I say "find some dirt", I mean the hypocrisy, not the homosexuality.

failure of the neo-con agenda.

5. If they found out the guys were
getting in bed with female prostitutes or molesting little girls, would it still be "dirt" then?

6. I've noticed Rev. Falwell is keeping an extremely low profile these days...
Usually he'd be out there backing Bushco to the max but this time he seems to have all but disappeared?!! J-e-r-r-y, where are you??

7. You'll hear nothing but an echo calling him nowadays.
He won't gripe and complain about his own kind, only those on the left. His kind are perfect in his eyes.

8. I remember reading a rumor that Dean had hired some private detectives
This was back a couple of months ago. The theory was that he was digging up some dirt on Dems who were trying to oust him--and that could be true--but maybe he was actually digging up dirt on the people who Democrats should be digging up dirt on. i.e. the Republicans and their hypocritical allies.

Another possibility is that as we all know the Clintons know how to do this sort of thing rather well. They sideswiped Jerry Brown over his drug using rock star pals and threatened to expose Poppy Bush's Mistress if Republicans even mentioned the Big Dawg's personal life during the campaign.

A third possibility. Big Business has decided to rein in the Chimp and so things that had been, shall we say, a gentleman's agreement are suddenly coming to the fore.

I don't know which theory I favor. I'd love to think that the Democrats have decided to fight fire with fire and a combination of Dean and Clinton joining forces would be the best news of all but I've always believed that when the mainstream media turns on a politician or a political party that decisions have been made elsewhere and filtered down through the rank and file reporters.

9. It is about time
This is exactly when the people ought to know these things... what's the point revealing these facts if nobody will remember them on election day?

harm us. The thing about Hagard and Crist is that it's not just their secret. The person or persons they engaged in sex with were also keeping that secret. Personally, I feel no obligation to offer the benefits of the gay community to a person who is working to harm that same community.

It seems pretty obvious to me that the people coming forward now in the Haggard and Crist cases feel the same way I do.

But these perverts were too dumb to do that. BTW, I do not think they are sexual perverts.

I'm taking a risk now by using this word since it seems taboo today on the DU. A thread got locked today as a result of using that word.

They are perverts in the pure sense of the word. I'm guessing they may think the objects of their affection are insignificant. Massive ego complex.
