Do you think Americans are really this stupid?
The whitehouse is going to launch a campaign to Politicize Saddam Verdict Ahead of Midterm Elections

Plus in addition, FOX News is rearranging weekend line-up to air terror film, scare jaded voters to polls

after six years of lies, the polls indicate otherwise

8. but why are the polls indicating just the opposite?
For four years the situation in Iraq and Afganistan has been getting worse NOT better. Even those who were for the war in Iraq realize that incompentence has served up disaster there

The Saddam trial might actually show their was more order when he controlled Iraq then there is now

As far as the propaganda piece, it is simply their standard terror, terror, terror cries, which may not have the effect it had before, especially since bin laden is still at large

12. I hesitate to say this

but I believe it's because there hasn't been another big, um, event that affected everyone in a way they recognize as personal. I don't think there are enough of us who really get what was wrong with this administration in the first place and how wrong it is beyond the more obvious messes they've made. I think most people still want to assume good intentions and give breaks.

I want to be more optimistic. Maybe everyone's just been quietly seeing the truth and regretting having allowed it to happen, but I don't think so. The change felt very sudden to me. I don't trust it, and I don't think it would take much to change it back. I hope I'm wrong.

10. depends on how close the elections are
part of it is intended to get a higher turnout among the base who might be upset with Bush. they will never vote Democrat but they might just not vote if they aren't happy with things. this is mean to get them out to vote.

and it might change a few minds. it might not make much difference if a candidate is leading by a large amount. but if the election is very close those few votes might make some difference.

11. What is interesting is that some of the people running as Democrats
in races were previously republicans.

13. We really need to watch these people closely.
I can give them the benefit of the doubt on their conversion, but I won't be too pleased if they are simply going to vote the Republican agenda as Democrats. At this point, I take a majority anyway we can get it. Once we take care of the criminal cancer, then we can start going after DINO's.
