That's what he should've done in 2004. That's what ALL Dems need to do from now on. Don't let them lie and cheat anymore. CALL THEM OUT.

This is to you, Kerry. Even if you are 2 years late.

6. AMEN
pretty sad when those on the left can't even acknowledge a big kick in the ass at this administration by John Kerry. Makes me sick how immature some are.

4. He said he learned that lesson the hard way.

Sadly, we all suffered the consequences of him not going after the Swiftboaters immediately.

8. He was damn tough
MSNBC finally showed a snip - it was excellent. The biggest difference is that the media actually showed him responding this time around. We'll see if they continue.

10. This was his 2004 response......
....and this attack was the straw that finally made him make sure to let them have it.

It was a good response. More "We/Democrats" on that last rant instead of "I" would have been even more helpful 7 days before the 2006 election when Kerry isn't running....but besides that, Kudos to John Kerry for demonstrating that he learned his lesson well.

11. The fucking pundits are already calling him unhinged
and saying he's ruined any chances of running for President in 2008 because he can't control his temper.

These people are so rotten. If they want temper or to see what unhinged really looks like, they should pay me a visit because I'm livid now!

15. We need hold the bastards to account for this war.
And yes, we can call them that and more. Kerry made a mis-speak, but he backed up his intent and came out swinging. We can't get wishy washy now: the shot heard round the world has been fired and the battle is on. We need to take them out. No quarter. Call the news on everything they say. Call our Democrats and make them stand by Senator Kerry and ATTACK Bush on his Iraq policy.

This could work for us because we can get the subject back on Iraq and 60% of the country is against the war.

17. Anger would help Kerry WIN! If he deserved to run.
His anger is far too late, and as mentioned, misfocussed. It should have been there in 2003 and 2004.

But he should inspire whoever DOES get to run for President in 2008. That person should be just as angry and very much unwilling to back down. Sadly, the two other frontrunners, Clinton and Gore, are incapable of that anger. So I guess we lose again.

16. I'm proud of Kerry but bitterly dissapointed that nobody in the
Democratic Party has stepped up to the plate to defend him.

I can understand the candidates running for election being a little cautious, but what about Senators and Congressmen who aren't running this year? What about Howard Dean? Wes Clark? Where are these guys? I thought for sure they would both be the first to step up to the plate and rip Bush a new one over this obvious political ploy. And Al Gore? John Edwards? John Murtha? Russ Feingold? Barbara Boxer? Ted Kennedy?????????

PLEASE tell me one of them has said something?

This is so terribly sad. John Kerry would have been the first to stand up for any of them.
