Hell House ( a haunted house by Trinity Church in Texas) - lots of pics

Trinity Church members Christina Hunt (C), 19, and Jonathan Collins (L), 18, act out an abortion scene as a video of a foetus is flashed on television screens overhead during Hell House in Cedar Hill, Texas October 30, 2006. Hell House puts a Christian spin on the traditional haunted house by using its parishioners as actors to portray scenes depicting issues such as abortion, suicide and school shootings. At the conclusion of the tour visitors are brought into a 'decision room' where they are ministered to and offered a chance to receive salvation. Trinity Church officials estimate that close to 500 people over the ten days they've been open thus far this year have received salvation. 1. It really is hell
Only not for the reasons they claim. That much ignorance can only best be described as hell.

3. They sure named it correctly!! Subjecting children to their 'weird' brand
of christianity is what is destroying America.

4. The online comic, Something Positive
Has a good story arc going on right now about Hell Houses.

It starts here:

http://www.somethingpositive.net/sp10032006.shtml

And is worth a read - especially the definition of "persecution" that one of the hell house kids give when asked if he knows what it means (the latest strip).

22. I think Fred (the crazy old man) is Randy's best tool for telling stories.
If you don't read the comic regularly, that's won't mean anything to you, but poke around in the archives and you'll see some more "touche, crazy old man" moments.

I think Bill O'Reilly should have them on his show.

9. This is where I heard about it
Something Positive Webcomic

This a comic I've read over the last couple of years by Dave Milholland. It's semi autobiographical.

Anyway, the last five or so comics deal with Dave's Dad, who is going through the early stages of Alzheimers and wants to see a haunted house, unsuspecting that he entered one of these places.

It's a fun read

25. Actually, they do.
You can go have videos made of your baby in the womb.

but it's really fucking sick that they'd pull a stunt like this at these hell houses - obviously they don't make you watch it onscreen.

19. You have to wonder about the motivation of people
who are "saved" as the result of being frightened into it. I thought being born again meant that a person was filled with the Holy Spirit. Being scared shitless doesn't fit the bill, IMO.

28. Wait. Am I reading this right?

Visitors at Hell House watch a family violence scene, which portrayed a father who molested his daughter, and an eventual murder suicide as part of the plot...

Hell House puts a Christian spin on the traditional haunted house by using its parishioners as actors to portray scenes...

So, they 'act out' the scene of a Father molesting his daughter while these teens sit there and watch?? Then he murders her and commits suicide, while these teens sit there and watch?

Funny, but when my son was younger, if I didnt want him to have something implanted into his brain, I did what I could to keep him from seeing it/hearing it/experiencing it.

What exactly are they trying to accomplish with this particular 'scene'?

These kinds of people are twisted and dangerous. :scared:
