I know what it's for--- but it's still a funny catch phrase.

1. DU Banner ad, or Google banner ad?
If you are a paid subscriber to DU, you can turn off the Google ads. I don't think I've seen the one you've mentioned.

2. glad I'm not the only one
and I've even thought about it and decided it is a good idea! I get this image in my mind each time I see the ad. Think, they would be stylish, colorful, funny. Maybe a gay friendly car would come with a feather boa?

My neighborhood has become a "gay ghetto". We LOVE it. Great remodeling projects all around, and can these guys garden? The most amazingly beautiful gardens including totally cool art in most of them. (Best compliment? The house accross from ours owned by gay guys, mirrored our paint colors. Now if they would just come over and create their flower beds in mine!)

It's also a fad in this neighborhood (used to be "wide lawns and narrow minds" upper middle class, houses bigger than we need) to put a rainbow flag up next to their American flags. Cracks me up. (Not that they put up a rainbow flag but that they put up an American flag.)

4. Hee.
Glad I'm not the only one who got a chuckle out of those ads. I suppose they have something to do with gay-friendly vacation packages, which I have read are gaining in popularity.
