BAGHDAD, Oct 30 (KUNA) -- The Iraqi Higher Criminal Court Monday resumed listening to more witnesses and claimants in the Anfal case involving deposed Iraqi president Saddam Hussein and other defendants, even though their chief lawyers walked out of the session.
The court listened to the first witness in the 19th session of Anfal case, who called for suing the sellers of Saddam Hussein's chemical weapons which he used in shelling northern Iraqi villages.
The first claimant also called for taking legal action against those Iraqi pilots who launched chemical weapon air raids against Anfal. He explained how his village, which included 100 families, came under attack with chemical weapons, saying that the victims were mostly women, children and old people.
